Immediately nearby to L'Uliveto Staffolano farmhouse is the medieval hilltop town of Staffolo, less than 2km distant. This charming village, built within and around medieval walls, has good restaurants, a grocery market, pharmacy, a bar, an enotecca, a weekly market, etc. Other nearby towns of Cupramontana, Apiro and Cingoli represent, along with Staffolo, the heart of the Le Marche wine, olive oil and farming country, but an area particularly known for the Verdicchio wine. In all of these towns and countryside, traditional Italian culture remains vibrant and rich. The people of the region are warm and welcoming.

Jesi, 20 minutes away, is the local center and offers museums, shopping, and music at the exquisite baroque Teatro Pergolesi, named for the famous 18th century composer and native son Giovanni Pergolesi. Child-friendly attractions such as the Eldorado water park near Apiro, the Indiana Adventure Park and Lago di Castreccioni between Apiro and Cingoli are close at hand. The Frasassi caves (largest in Europe) are just one half hour drive to the west. The Monte Conero riviera and the Adriatic beaches are less than an hour to the east. All of these, plus the beauty and tranquility of the farmhouse and its surroundings make this a perfect family vacation spot as well as a getaway for travelers wishing to get off the beaten path.
